On September 26th, EPRC held a presentation of its Price of the State project. 

The web-site The Price of the State www.priceofthestate.ge is an innovative tool for analyzing public finances. The web-portal concentrates detailed data on revenues and expenditures of the State. With the help of the web-site it is possible to get a comprehensive overview of how much the state takes in and spends and how these quantities are changing over time. 

In Georgia, much like elsewhere, a taxpayer is not only an employee or an employer with an income tax obligation, but rather any consumer in the economy, and therefore virtually every citizen. However, they remain practically unaware of the sums that are transferred to the state budget from their pockets, not to mention how this money is further allocated.
